5 Centimeters Per Second

Separated at the same time as their elementary school graduation, Takaki and Akari shared a special bond just between the two of them, but time passed regardless. One snowy day, Takaki finally decides to go see Akari. This story captures the day of their reunion, followed by Cosmonaut, which depicts Takaki's life from another person's perspective, and the main title, 5 Centimeters Per Second, which illustrates the wandering of their souls. These three interconnected short animation films are woven together with lyrical visuals.
