Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki, two Soul Reapers, are used to battling Hollows in Karakura Town. However, when they come across the mysterious "Blanks"—souls that lack memories and cannot be purified—they are caught off guard. Just as they struggle, an unfamiliar Soul Reaper named Senna appears and effortlessly fends off the Blanks. Meanwhile, a strange mirage of the human world suddenly manifests above Soul Society, deepening the mystery.
