The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2006

Kyon, an ordinary high school student, has long abandoned his belief in the supernatural. However, upon meeting Haruhi Suzumiya, he quickly realizes that she is obsessed with mysteries—aliens, time travelers, and espers, among other things. When Haruhi complains about the lack of exciting clubs at school, Kyon inadvertently gives her the idea to create her own. Thus, the SOS Brigade is born—a club dedicated to investigating the supernatural. To his dismay, Kyon is recruited alongside the quiet bookworm Yuki Nagato, the shy and gentle Mikuru Asahina, and the ever-smiling Itsuki Koizumi. Together, they embark on unpredictable adventures under the command of their eccentric leader, Haruhi. The story is adapted from the light novels by Nagaru Tanigawa.
