In spring, as new students decide on their clubs, Ritsu Tainaka takes her childhood friend Mio Akiyama to visit the light music club. However, the club has no members left, as all the previous members have graduated, and it will be disbanded unless they can recruit four new members. While searching for the last member, they add Tsumugi Kotobuki to their group. Just then, Yui Hirasawa, a beginner who misunderstood "light music" as simply light sounds like whistling, unexpectedly joins the club.
