Since childhood, Aoba Suzukaze has been a fan of the Fairies Story game series, especially admiring its beautiful character designs. After graduating high school, she eagerly applies to Eagle Jump, the company behind her favorite game. On her first day, Aoba is thrilled to discover she will be working on the latest installment in the series, Fairies Story 3, and even more excited to be under Kou Yagami, the talented lead character designer. Joining her in the department are passionate team members like Yun Iijima, an expert in monster design; the shy Hifumi Takimoto, who prefers communicating through messages; Hajime Shinoda, an animation team member with a love for figurines; Rin Tooyama, the organized art director; Shizuku Hazuki, the quirky game director who brings her cat to the office; and Umiko Ahagon, the strict but skilled head programmer. "New Game!" follows Aoba and her colleagues as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of game development, from creating the perfect designs to debugging countless errors.
