In the bright-skied, ocean-kissed town of Fujisawa, Sakuta Azusagawa is enjoying his second year of high school alongside his beloved upperclassman and girlfriend, Mai Sakurajima. However, his peaceful days are upended when his first crush, Shoko Makinohara, suddenly reappears. Strangely, he encounters not one, but two Shokos—one still in middle school and another who has grown into an adult. As circumstances force Sakuta to live with the adult Shoko, she playfully leads him around, straining his relationship with Mai.
